So the ~55W reading should be 15+2+25+15, which means the GPU core running in normal state and the VRAM is running too. ~18W after GPU being offline in driver 3959: 15+2. ~30W is the combination of VRAM on and GPU core active but idle: 15+2+1+15. Let's check the numbers I reported above. GPU core active power ~25W, or idle power ~1W I know the total system power is combined by the following parts: For a deeper dive, the reading number is more or less interesting. The latter process is now unobservable in driver 4575. But the power reading will not keep constant at ~55W, it will go even higher after several seconds as much as ~70Watts and after about 10 seconds finally drop down to ~18Watts. In the older driver version 3959, you can see the similar procedure that the total system power rises while GPU get offline. This idle total system power is constant and of course abnormal because if the GPU is activated again the power reading will immediately drop back to ~30Watts. By the same time, a rise of total system power should be found, from ~30Watts to ~55Watts. The readings of the GPU in HWINFO64 should be gray and inactive. After about 1 minute, the A770M should go sleep and offline. Then close task manager and leave the NUC running nothing. Meanthe total system power should be about 28~30 Watts. Now you should be able to read the A770M GPU power numbers because the GPU is active but idle, and the readings should be less or around 1 Watt. Launch Windows Task Manager to activate the A770M. Launch HWINFO64, open the sensor panel or enable the taskbar icon that shows the Total System Power.ģ. Connect the monitor to the integrated graphic of 12700H by connecting it via the back TBT4 port using a USBC-DP cable.Ģ. You can check this issue by running HWINFO64 reading the total system power and following the step below.ġ. The total system power is unusually high. Here's what I found that seems to be abnormal. I saw a new version of display driver released a few days ago and tried installing it yesterday. After been trying several other mini PCs for months I bought another NUC12SNK again.
